Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Layout Engineer

Job Description

  • Perform analog/mixed-signal IC layout design of complex, high-speed circuits.
  • Independently plan and implement layout for analog/mixed-signal design blocks, while adhering to specifications and guidelines set by design engineers.
  • Manipulate layout CAD flows.
  • Independently identify, debug and solve physical verification discrepancies (DRC/LVS).
  • Assist design engineering team with tapeout activities and deal with post-tapeout activities such as documentation, archiving and job tracking.
  • Work closely with the design engineering team on a day-to-day basis in solving physical design issues.

Job Requirements

  • BSEE required with 5+ years experience in analog/mixed-signal IC layout design.
  • Proficient in custom analog/mixed-signal IC layout design, particularly at 90nm processes technologies and below.
  • Experience with industry standard CAD tools.
  • Knowledge of transistor level layout issues.
  • Knowledge of C, Perl, ch and csh.
  • Knowledge of Linux systems.
  • Ability to work efficiently as a part of team as well as independently.
  • Motivated and able to learn and use new CAD tools/methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal skills.
  • Good documentation and follow up skills.
